Padel

Introduction

The NET Sports Hall has five padel courts on the third floor, which can be reserved individually or all at once. You can also host sports-themed birthday parties and organize tournaments here.

Padel is a simple and exciting racket sport suitable for players of all ages. It is played as a doubles match (two against two), making it a great way to socialize. No prior experience is needed to enjoy padel—just a good mood and fun playing partners. Unlike tennis, the serve is underhand, and wall shots are allowed, which adds excitement to the game. To play, you’ll need a padel racket and balls, which you can rent or buy at our facility. We recommend wearing indoor shoes that provide good traction on the artificial turf. The scoring system in padel is similar to tennis and uses the traditional 15-30-40 game scoring. You can find the detailed rules of padel on the Estonian Padel Federation’s website.

Tournaments

Women's tournament

Overall Information

  • Women’s tournaments will be held in two skill groups this season. We will start with the beginners/beginners+ group at 4:30 p.m. and the intermediate/advanced group at 6:30 p.m. on the following dates: May 10.
  • Up to 20 players are welcome in the beginners’ group, and up to 10 pairs in the intermediate/advanced group.
  • The time limit is up to 2 hours per ability group.
  • The main sponsor of the women’s tournament is Goldtime.

Rules

  • Beginners: Each game lasts 12–15 minutes and is played in the “americano” format, meaning you switch partners for every game—there are no set partners!
  • Intermediate/Advanced: Each match lasts 15–20 minutes, either in a round-robin format or divided into groups depending on the number of registered teams. The Intermediate/Advanced tournament will be played with fixed partners!
  • The game begins and ends with a whistle.
  • A deciding point is played when the score is 40-40. If the final whistle blows and the score is less than 40-40, the last game does not count. If the score is exactly 40-40, another deciding point must be played.
  • For beginners only: If the score is tied when the final whistle blows, a tiebreaker is played! For example, if the score is 5-5, the tiebreaker goes to Team 2. Therefore, Team 2 wins—they get an extra win added to their record, and the total number of games remains 5! Intermediate and advanced players may also end in a draw.
  • Beginners: The winner is determined primarily by the number of wins, but if multiple participants have the same number of wins, the total number of games won is considered. Intermediate/Advanced: 2 points are awarded for a win, 1 point for a draw. The winner is determined by the total number of points; if the points are tied, the total number of games won is added up.
  • Awards will be given to the top finishers in both ability groups. We also keep a cumulative score across all stages, so points can be earned toward the overall standings at each stage.
  • Points are awarded to participants in each stage as follows: 1st place – 5 points, 2nd place – 4 points, 3rd place – 3 points, and all other participants – 2 points.

Participation
