Table tennis

Introduction

There is one table tennis table located on the 3rd floor of the NET Sports Hall. Table tennis, also known as ping pong, is a fast-paced racket sport played on a special table divided by a net in the middle. Players use small rackets to hit a light plastic ball over the net, aiming to make their opponent miss. The game can be played as singles (one against one) or doubles (two against two). The ball must touch the opponent’s side of the table before their hit, and points are earned when the opponent is unable to return the ball according to the rules.

Table tennis is known for its speed, precision, and strategic style of play. It is popular both as a leisure activity and as a competitive sport, and is also part of the Olympic Games program. Thanks to its dynamism and small space requirements, it is an ideal sport for players of all ages and skill levels. You can find more rules on the Estonian Table Tennis Association website.
