Crossnet

Introduction

At NET Sports Hall, there are 6 sand courts on the 1st floor available for Crossnet. The equipment is included in the court rental price. Crossnet is an innovative and fast-paced game played on a specially designed court divided into four sections, with a net in the middle. Crossnet can be played on the beach, grass, or indoors, and it offers a fun and engaging activity for players of all ages and skill levels.

The Crossnet court is divided into four equal squares, marked 1, 2, 3, and 4. Players in the higher sectors are in more advanced positions, while players aim to move up from the lower sectors.
Players start in different sections of the court, and the goal is to score points by hitting the ball in a way that opponents are unable to return it correctly. When a player wins a point, they move up to a higher sector, while the other players rotate positions.
The game is won by the first player to reach the pre-agreed number of points. Crossnet is played by four players. The ball is put into play by the player in the highest sector (square 4) serving. The serve is made from behind the net and must land in any opposing player’s sector.
The ball is played like in volleyball. It can be played with a single touch and must first bounce in the player’s own sector before being returned. The ball can be played using open-hand hits as well as softer set-ups.
